My dad finished up the columns with some crown molding on top.
Chris and my dad hung these upper cabinets. They are Koch cabinets in red oak with Briarwood stain. They are rift cut (also called quarter sawn) oak which means they are cut differently so they show less grain than oak usually does. They have a shaker style door---very simple.
Dave Spargo came this evening (thanks for your help!) and they started hooking up phone, cable, and data lines.
