Friday, what a day!

Friday, Feb. 5: Busy day at the house!
In the morning, the drywallers finished the last part: the ceiling of the garage and sanding the walls of the garage.
Chris began painting. We tinted our primer (which acts as a first coat). We are using Benjamin Moore SuperSpec (A step down from their "Regal." SuperSpec is like a contractor's grade of paint.)
My dad started working on our interior columns....which is going to be a gorgeous feature of the house. The features of Craftsman style homes that I loved were the tapered front porch columns, the wide dark woodwork on base and window/door trim, built-ins, and features such as these interior columns. Read more about Craftsman features.
My uncle Paul welded the back porch rail to the posts. My dad and I designed the rail, and my Dad and my uncle made it...isn't it beautiful??!!!
