Friday, Feb. 26:
Chris and my dad hung the cabinets in the office.

Below them will be a countertop desk.

They also hung the cabinet in the laundry room. (To the right of that will be a clothes rod.)

Then, they set the base cabinets and onyx tops in the main bathroom and downstairs bathroom.
Main:

Downstairs:

The bathroom is the only part of the downstairs that is going to be finished. The rest of the basement will have drywall hung (just screwed, not finished) and the doors hung (so they don't bow over time, in storage).
Then they cut the hole for the kitchen sink.

Then, they installed Durock (subfloor for tile) in the front entry, back entry, and master bathroom. This morning I bought the tile so we're ready to go.

Meanwhile, Hillmer Construction (Chris's uncles Garry & Bill, and their crew: Ron & Al) worked on trim.
They finished trimming out the windows.
Master bedroom:

They trimmed out the doors.

They hung the two pocket doors.
This one is the office. Playing peekabo.....

They even got started on the baseboards.

Tonight (Fri), Chris is finishing the painting in the stairwell and working on the wood flooring in Max's bedroom. Late night!
Saturday we're going to clean up, move all the tools downstairs and sweep and vacuum to get ready for the carpet coming...that's really going to change the look of the house from a "work in progress" to an "almost done home"!)
