On Saturday, August 28, Chris poured the concrete into the form for the capstone of the last porch column. (My dad was actually going to do it on Mon, Aug 9---my birthday!---as a present but Chris had the concrete tools with him at work. The next day, Dad fell and was laid up. So with painting the house on our horizons, Chris did it.
With Chris working in Kansas as of late (beginning Aug 9, gone for a week at a time), we decided to hire out the finishing touches on the exterior of our house. Stay tuned for pictures of new gutters/downspouts, finish grading and retaining walls, painting, sprinkler system, and seeding the lawn! Super exciting!
