Vogtscapes of Lincoln worked Wed, Sept. 1 and Thurs, Sept. 2 finish grading around the house and put in two retaining walls, the one on the east side goes out about 15 feet and curves around. The one on the west side is very small, going out about five feet straight. The blocks are tan.

Hernandez Painting worked the first and second week of September, finishing Tues, Sept. 7. We painted the siding olive (Sherwin Williams called Renwick Olive) and the shake shingles--in the peaks--tan (SW called Basket Beige), and the trim white (SW Snowbound). Of course, different lighting changes the color in pictures, but I think the front shot shows the truest colors.
We also had them paint the back porch rail--it had been painted in its original three pieces, but then when it was brought to the house and welded together, a final coat had not been done.

Here you can see the completed retaining wall, and we painted the foundation wall olive as well.

So the siding, trim, the back rail and the three porch ceilings were all painted....alls that is left are the upper halves of the front porch columns:
Chris started on the porch columns Monday, Sept. 6. They will be paneled columns, so in addition to this, they'll have trim pieces. He did one, and then there was a lot of other work to be done before the workweek began.

The sprinkler plan was laid out Tues, Sept. 7. (Ne Sod)
