This blog is a nice way to record random stuff like this that if I wrote it down, would never remember where I wrote it. Animal update: We had noticed this past week we were down to 11 black and brown chickens (out of 13), and just last night something got quite a few more. We now have just 7 (6 browns and our black one we call Goldie because she's got gold feathers on her neck.) and also missing one (started at 6) so now 5 little black/white speckled chicks (They're laying now, but we still call them our chicks because we got them later and are smaller.) Anyway, it was quite the battlefield scene with feathers, etc. everywhere.
Guess we'll have to start locking them up at night. We had always shut their door but the second door (to the cats side) stayed open.
2nd Animal update: Saturday, April 16: Missy had another litter of kittens. Six this time, 3 black and 3 tiger striped like her.
